Characteristics
The "Bislacco" pecorino, a "meditation" cheese par excellence, an expression of quality and imagination, stems from the need to bring this sensory combination into the dairy sector, to capture the attention of lovers of these particular aromas and flavors. Obtained from sheep's milk collected and processed within the day, to preserve all its organoleptic properties and thus give rise to a product of undisputed quality. Once ripened, it is aged with rum and wrapped in Kentucky tobacco leaves, the only variety used for the production of the famous Toscano cigar. The drying of these leaves takes place through the smoke of particular woods, giving it a characteristic aroma and the classic dark color.
Roundish shape with a straight heel, it has a dark brown rind inside which a rather compact, straw-yellow paste opens up. It is distinguished by its intense, overwhelming taste and the persistent aroma conferred by the tobacco that wraps it and the rum contained within it.
A cheese for connoisseurs and enthusiasts, with a strong and marked character, so much so that it manages to attract everyone's interest, becoming the protagonist of a quiet evening in which to listen to unique and exhilarating sensory emotions.
